WOM asked me to streamline the prepaid-SIM registration flow, turning a long, error-prone form into a quick two-step journey that feels as simple as topping up credit.
The Challenge
A single, scroll-heavy page drove users away before they finished.
1. One oversized form mixed personal info, address data, and legal checkboxes without visual breaks.
2. Up to 14 fields, many optional, left people guessing what really mattered.
3. Errors weren’t flagged until the bottom, so users had to hunt for missing details.
The Solution
I split the task into two focused screens and added real-time guidance.
1. Step 1 – Datos personales: phone number, email, name, ID, date of issue.
2. Step 2 – Dirección: auto-suggest address fields, city dropdown, and one privacy checkbox.
3. Progressive disclosure: fields appear only after the previous ones validate, keeping the view clean.
Project Result
The new two-step flow translated design choices into clear business wins:
1. Completion rate rose +22 % in the first four weeks.
2. Average registration time dropped from 4 min 15 s to 1 min 40 s.
3. Customer-support chats about “can’t register my SIM” fell by 30 %.
Project Result
By replacing one overwhelming form with two concise, self-validated steps, the prepaid registration now feels quick, clear, and trustworthy, letting new users join WOM without the paperwork headache.
